The<br \/>\nattorney at law Stevan Adamovic Ph.D. was elected for the first president. After expiry of his mandate,<br \/>\nthe presidents of the Bar Association Board of Directors were the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aleksandar Mo\u010d Ph.d. (1945)<\/li>\n<li>Slavko \u017dupanski Ph.D. (1947-1949)<\/li>\n<li>Vojin Cari\u0107 Ph.D. (1949-1950)<\/li>\n<li>Albe Filipovi\u0107 (1950-1951)<\/li>\n<li>Jovan S. Jegdi\u0107 (1951-1955)<\/li>\n<li>Milorad Boti\u0107 (1955-1970)<\/li>\n<li>Jo\u017eef Varadi Ph.D. (1970-1973)<\/li>\n<li>Josip Kujun\u0111i\u0107 (1973-1976)<\/li>\n<li>Borivoj Jeki\u0107 (1976-1982) and (1985-1988)<\/li>\n<li>Milan Mikovi\u0107 (1982-1985)<\/li>\n<li>Stevan Ron\u010devi\u0107 (1988-1992)<\/li>\n<li>\u0110or\u0111e Veber (1992-1998)<\/li>\n<li>Slobodan Beljanki Ph.D. (1998-2007)<\/li>\n<li>Vuli\u0107 Branislav (2007-2014)<\/li>\n<li>Sikimi\u0107 Sr\u0111an (2014-2017)<\/li>\n<li>Beljanski Vladimir (2017 and today)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vojvodina Bar Association received its current name, Vojvodina Bar Association, at the first regular<br \/>\nannual general assembly of the Bar Association held after the Second World War on June 22, 1947 in<br \/>\nNovi Sad.<\/p>\n<p>Vojvodina Bar Association stands for the principles of respect of human rights, constitutionality and<br \/>\nlegality and acts independently although it has not been mentioned for the first time in the new Law on<br \/>\nLaw Practice 1998. It is the only bar association in Yugoslavia which is the member of International<br \/>\nAssociation of Lawyers and a permanent member of Vienna European Presidents\u2019 Conference of Bar<br \/>\nAssociations.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the strictly professional problems Vojvodina Bar Association is known as a sponsor of<br \/>\nstudents of the Faculty of Law and one of the founders of the Fund for Sponsoring of Gifted Students<br \/>\nand publisher of significant publications, as well as the sponsor of many humanitarian actions and a<br \/>\npromoter of the books in the field of law, sociology and economy at the Lectureship of Vojvodina Bar<br \/>\nAssociation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"History Vojvodina Bar Association, previously called Novi Sad Bar Association, was founded on March 3, 1921 at the first general assembly gathering attorneys at law from the territory of Banat, Baranja and Backa.
